Birthday Party
While we are going to have a lot of fun celebrating Ellie Jo’s 2nd birthday in America we also wanted her to have a chance to celebrate with her friends in Rwanda. Today we went over to her friend Pete’s house for a little pool party. The kids got cupcakes and, more importantly to EJ, popcorn! She promptly tried to step into the pool with her bowl of popcorn, slipped and face planted in the water while her popcorn floated around her head. Other than being surprised by the water in her nose she didn’t seem to mind that episode at all.
I’m so grateful for our community here and for the friends who know how to make days special. Ellie Jo knows that she is loved.
