Flower Friday
My Grammy carried calla lilies in her wedding. I wanted to carry them in mine, but the cost to import them to Washington was prohibitive.
Now, I live in a place where these flowers grow abundantly.
Every Friday, Robin and I drive to a house “in town” and pick up a huge bouquet of flowers. They come from an orphanage founded by Rose Carr and the proceeds from the flowers are used to support the orphanage.
The bouquets almost always have three or four calla lilies peeking through the assortment of colorful flowers.
They always make me think of Grammy.
How fun!! Larry and I had calla lilies in our wedding too…love that story! Hope you are doing well…love you lots!!

We met Ros Carr, had tea with her and spent an Easter with her in Gisenyi several years ago. How neat that they sell such beautiful flowers!
